Who we are
Full Plate Intelligence publishes restaurant financial insights for independent restaurant owners and operators, including the Full Plate Weekly email newsletter. Full Plate Intelligence was founded by Steve Dillberg. This website and the newsletter are operated by Full Plate Intelligence; questions go to Steve@FullPlateIntel.com.
What we collect right now
This website currently offers one thing: joining our email list. When you sign up we collect the email address you enter, which signup form you used (for example the homepage or the Benchmark page), and, if you clicked one of them, which upcoming product you asked to hear about. If you arrived through a link that carries campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content), we keep those values in your browser for the current session and send them with your signup so we can tell which link brought you here; they are recorded in our operational signup logs, not in your Kit subscriber record. We do not ask for your name, your restaurant, or any financial information at signup.
We do not collect financial statements, P&L uploads, or restaurant operating data through this website. When Full Plate Benchmark or the Restaurant Intelligence Index open, any data collection for them will be covered by separate participation terms that you will see before providing anything.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps in security and operational logs. Our signup endpoint also applies rate limiting, which briefly retains a hashed form of your network address to block abuse.
How we use your information
We use your email address to send you Full Plate Weekly and Full Plate Intelligence updates about the products described on this site (The Full Plate Show, the Restaurant Intelligence Index, and Full Plate Benchmark). Before you receive anything else, we send a confirmation email; you are only added to the active list once you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
Email service provider
We use Kit (kit.com) to store our mailing list and send our emails. Your email address and signup source are stored and processed by Kit on our behalf, subject to Kit’s own privacy policy and terms. The upcoming product you asked to hear about is added to your Kit record only where our list is set up with a matching tag or field for it; otherwise it is kept in our operational signup logs. Campaign values from the link you arrived through are not written to your Kit record; they stay in our operational signup logs as described above. We do not sell your email address, and we share it only with service providers such as Kit and our hosting provider that help us run this site and list.
Analytics and cookies
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording on this site, and we set no cookies for those purposes. The signup form keeps campaign values in your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the tab; the copy sent with your signup is kept in our operational signup logs alongside the technical information described above, and nowhere else.
Retention, deletion, and unsubscribes
We keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. When you unsubscribe, your address is kept on a suppression list so we do not email you again by mistake; we will not re-add an unsubscribed address without your renewed consent. To have your address removed entirely, or to ask what we hold about you, email Steve@FullPlateIntel.com and we will take care of it. Operational logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Full Plate Intelligence grows, for example when a new product starts collecting data. The latest version will always be posted on this page with its revision date.
